ScanSource names chief financial officer

ScanSource has appointed Charles Mathis as chief financial officer.

He previously served as chief financial officer for Force Protection, a Nasdaq-listed public company, until its acquisition by General Dynamics in December 2011. Mathis is said to have been instrumental in increasing the value of the company and expanding operations internationally. He brings ‘far-reaching global finance expertise’ to ScanSource, having conducted business extensively throughout Europe, Latin America and Asia-Pacific over much of his career. Beginning his career in investment banking at Salomon Brothers, Mathis later held financial leadership positions at United Dominion Industries, EnPro Industries, and Elbit Systems.

Mathis has a BA from Wake Forest University and MBA from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business. He is a certified public accountant and chartered global management accountant.
