Soma expands operating activities in Germany

Soma Engineering has appointed Garbsen-based H&K for the sale of its printing machine range in Germany. 

H&K’s Ralf Plautz will be responsible for sales and service support of the Soma range. Plautz has experience working within the offset printing industry with one of Soma´s long standing business partners, Heidelberg. As a member of the Heidelberg service management team, customers will benefit from his technical knowledge and support in handling Soma products. 

‘The flexographic printing industry is a new field for me,’ said Plautz. ‘However, after 30 years' experience within the Heidelberg service organization and having contacts around the world, I feel able to meet the challenges. I have every confidence in the quality, technology and design of Soma’s products. The flexographic printing market demands the customization and high flexibility that H&K, together with Soma can bring to the German market. Our first objectives will be to create a customer oriented team, invest in newly qualified staff to give specialist training on Soma machines and to promote Soma's products through open houses and similar events.’
