Sovereign Labelling Machines appoints John Walsh to sales team

Sovereign Labelling Machines has appointed John Walsh to its sales team to strengthen customer support across northern England and Scotland as the UK-based manufacturer continues expanding its bespoke labeling and sleeving operations.

Walsh brings 25 years of experience in labeling and coding, having started his career in 1999 and worked across various roles within respected industry companies. In his new machinery sales position, he will focus on supporting existing customers and developing new business in the northern regions.

'Sovereign's bespoke systems provide the perfect approach for any brand or co-packer needing to improve their production capabilities,' commented Walsh. 'I'm looking forward to working with existing customers and helping new clients with all their labeling and sleeving requirements.'

The appointment complements Jordan Hynes' addition as business development manager in August 2024. Hynes, who has nearly a decade of experience in the labeling supply chain, covers southern England and Wales while maintaining responsibility for OEM partnerships.

Managing director Thomas Glendinning handles Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, alongside developing international market presence with Hynes.

'We have big growth ambitions and are well on our way to being the number one supplier of labeling and sleeving systems in the UK,' noted Glendinning. 'We are also expanding our working relationship with OEM partners and supplying an increasing number of systems into international markets.'
