Fujifilm Dimatix has appointed Steve Billow as its new CEO.

Billow, who joined the company as president in October 2022, will succeed Martin Schoeppler, who is retiring but will continue to serve as a senior advisor. Schoeppler has been with Fujifilm Dimatix since 2004, becoming CEO and president in 2008.

Meanwhile, Billow brings extensive inkjet technology expertise and a history of driving technology-based programs from concept to commercialization. Before joining Fujifilm Dimatix, he held leadership roles at Desktop Metal, EFI Inkjet Solutions, Jetrion and Eastman Kodak.

Schoeppler expressed confidence in Billow's ability to lead the company, stating, ‘The company will continue to excel under Steve's leadership, and I wish him the very best in his expanded role.’

Focusing on the future, Billow aims to advance the development of sputtered piezoelectric MEMS technology and expand the company's bulk piezo product lines.

‘Our MEMS technology is an industry leader in performance and will be further leveraged to lift inkjet to unprecedented heights of speed, quality and productivity,’ said Billow. ‘The speed with which this has come together is a direct result of our corporate-wide commitment to robustness, reliability, ruggedness and productivity that have always been the hallmark of our core piezo printhead technologies.’

Added Billow, ‘On behalf of all of us at Fujifilm, we'd like to congratulate and thank Martin (Schoeppler) for his tremendous achievements and leadership throughout his career at Fujifilm.’

Billow concluded by congratulating and thanking Schoeppler for his achievements and leadership during his time at Fujifilm.
