Aquaflex has announced the hiring of industry veteran Walter Mesik as print manager at the company’s Duncansville, Pennsylvania, USA headquarters.

Mesik’s duties will encompass a variety of sales, marketing, training, and merchandising support functions. His staff of printing technicians will be responsible for all quality control functions on new equipment, as well as installations and customer training. He will also direct the activities of the new Aquaflex demo room, including customer demonstrations, and engineering research and development.

‘Walter brings over 25 years of flexo, offset, and converting experience to Aquaflex,’ said Stuart Roberts, Aquaflex vice president of worldwide service and support. ‘He also brings a real shop-floor perspective and a dedication to problem-solving for the customer.’

Prior to Aquaflex, Mesik served as divisional vice president of operations for a large label printer in the Southeast US. Before that he held several key positions in the web-printing industry, including engineering, product development, and field service. He has traveled extensively to customer locations worldwide for installations, service, and on-site staff training. He was also the owner of a successful consulting business, which advised customers on after-market applications as well as mechanical/electrical technical repair services.

‘Whether I was in field service, engineering, or in the front office, I have always enjoyed a real hands-on involvement in addressing customer concerns,’ said Mesik. ‘It’s what I love to do, and I look forward to serving Aquaflex customers worldwide.’
