Argentine pre-press house installs Kodak Flexcel NX system

After just over two years on the market, the 100th Kodak Flexcel NX digital flexographic system has been installed at Buenos Aires, Argentina-based pre-press house Bosisio.
Bosisio specializes in design, brand management, file preparation and manufacturing of flexographic plates and gravure cylinders for the Latin American packaging markets. The company, which represents many international brand owners, is part of the global Janoschka group.
‘We are committed to using leading-edge solutions and helping our clients stand out in the market with packaging that stands out on the shelf and drives sales,’ said Omar Bosisio, president. ‘Package quality plays a critical role in the success of brand owners and package printers, and the Flexcel NX system will allow us to maintain that quality in the most demanding environments.’
The integrated Flexcel NX digital flexographic system is claimed to enable offset class, gravure quality results and improved productivity for flexographic printing applications including tags and labels, folding cartons and flexible packages. The Flexcel NX system produces plates that use a flat-top dot structure with a minimum dot size as small as 10 microns.
‘Throughout 2010, the packaging industry has recognized the Flexcel NX system as a leading technology that provides unique shelf impact and productivity benefits for brand owners and their printers,’ noted Oscar Planas, vice president, marketing, pre-press solutions, Kodak. ‘This broad acceptance has allowed the Flexcel NX system base of installations to more than triple already through 2010.’
Bosisio will hold an open house for its customers on December 2 to showcase its new Flexcel NX system.
