DuPont Packaging Graphics has announced a global price increase for all Cyrel products effective May 16, 2011. The net increase is up to 7 percent, depending on the product.

An energy surcharge, linked directly to the price of fuel and increased transportation costs, also will take effect at the same time globally. This fuel surcharge will be charged on a square foot/square meter basis, indexed to the price of Brent Crude Oil.

‘DuPont Packaging Graphics has aggressively pursued manufacturing productivity improvements and cost reduction initiatives to offset higher costs, but can no longer keep pace with the sustained increases in raw material and energy costs that have occurred in the last 12 months,’ said the company in a statement.
