MacDermid Printing Solutions announces price increase

MacDermid Printing Solutions has announced a global price increase of 7 percent on its liquid and sheet photopolymer plates and related products. This increase will be effective July 1, 2011.

‘MacDermid has experienced unprecedented levels of rising prices on its raw materials,’ said the company in a statement. ‘Efforts to mitigate these increases through productivity improvements and multiple supplier sourcing have had limited effect. Additionally, conversion costs for MacDermid continue to rise. The net increase in cost can no longer be absorbed by MacDermid.’
