Repro house installs Kodak Flexcel NX system

Splash Graphics, a pre-media and graphics company located in Willowbrook, Illinois, USA, has invested in a Kodak Flexcel NX digital flexographic system to expand its business into printing plate production for flexographic printing. The integrated Flexcel NX system is claimed to enable offset class, gravure quality results and improved productivity for flexographic printing applications including tags and labels, folding cartons and flexible packages.

The Flexcel NX system produces plates that use a flat-top dot structure with a minimum dot size as small as 10 microns, providing consistent quality and repeatability on press.
