PLGA awards lifetime achiever

The Packaging & Label Gravure Association has presented Ron Syrkos of Alcan Packaging with its 2005 Lifetime Achievement Award, recognizing his strong entrepreneurial and sales abilities, and his thirty-eight years of significant contributions to the packaging and label industry.
Syrkos started his career in sales and analytical quality control at Alcan Canada Foils, steadily rising up within the company. The PLGA says that he has consistently been one of the industry's greatest proponents of gravure printing. In 1996 he was promoted to Vice President and General Manager of the Alcan Packaging Group of the Americas.
Syrkos graciously accepted the award, stating that he is honored to be recognized in such a way by his peers in the industry.
