The Packaging & Label Gravure Association Global has established the PLGA Global Educational Foundation, Inc., a non-profit foundation. The purpose of the foundation is to expand the educational reach of the PLGA Global through increased scholarship awards to needy students pursuing a higher education in Graphic Arts and to fund specific problem solving and new technology research projects related to the gravure process.

Bill Klein, recently retired as executive director of PLGA Global, has been elected the executive director of the PLGA Global Educational Foundation. Randy Butler, Printpack, will continue as chairman of an expanded PLGA Global Scholarship Committee overseeing the awarding of student scholarships. Bill Disney of Diversapack will also continue in his role as chairman of the PLGA’s Technical Committee. A call for specific technical projects will be made within the next few months.
