PLGA Technical Conference 2005

The Packaging and Label Gravure Association (PLGA) will host its Third Biennial Technical Conference on October 19 - 21, 2005. The conference, “Gravure the Benchmark Process” will be held at Adam’s Mark Hotel in Charlotte. This hands-on conference will focus on advances in gravure cylinders and gravure’s capability to apply a wide range of materials to a substrate. Six panels of experts will discuss and debate new engraving methods for gravure cylinders and the competing dot structures, applying inks and specialized coatings, the future impact of nano technology on packaging materials and printing/coating technology, re-engineering or replacing a gravure press, and how to operate safely in the pressroom.
