Prices of one-sided coated papers to increase by end of year
Adapack, a producer of coated one-side papers for labels and flexible packaging, has announced a price increase of 60€ to 110€ per ton for all its paper grades as a consequence of soaring manufacturing costs.
‘Despite our continuous actions to reduce manufacturing costs and improve efficiency, the accumulative effect of price increases in energy, raw materials, chemicals and transport leave us no choice but to adjust the prices of our papers,’ said Jean-Pierre Brice, president of Adapack, who added that ‘since January 2005, these different cost items rose between by eight and 35 per cent’.
‘Our customers are currently being contacted to discuss the details of the implementation,’ says Jean-Charles Monange, Marketing Director for the Adapack group.
