Denny Bros, the Suffolk-based manufacturer of specialist printed multi-page labeling products, has been crowned the winners of the UK Company of the Year at the British Print Industry Federation’s Excellence Awards 2006.

The award, presented at a gala ceremony at print, publishing and media exhibition IPEX 2006 at the NEC Birmingham, was one of two overall awards presented during the event along with 14 other category awards. Denny Bros won the UK Company of the Year (less than 100 employee) award while printing.com won the section for companies with over 100 employees.

While Denny Bros has had various category awards during previous BPFI awards ceremonies this is the first time the company has scooped this prestigious main title.  Presentations took place at the Metropole in Birmingham at a glittering event attended by over 450 industry representatives.

Andrew Denny, Graham Denny and Colin Hunt, representing the family-owned business, were present on the evening to collect the official prize awarded to cover a variety of business-related criteria including financial results, staff development, marketing and successful innovation.

Managing director Barry Denny said: ‘Everybody in the business has played a part in this win and I can be very proud of this outstanding achievement.

‘The BPIF is a much-respected organization and to scoop a top prize means that we must be excelling in all areas of the specialist print industry field. We have always pushed the frontiers of niche market product innovation and backed our instincts in terms of sales and marketing – these efforts are continuing to pay off as we celebrate this new success.’

The flexibility of Denny Bros’ Fix-a-Form multipage label is now globally acknowledged and manufacturers are specifying them for use in a diverse range of industry sectors including pharmaceutical, health and beauty, food and drink, veterinary, DIY, household, automotive, telecoms, print and computers. They offer the most contemporary solution to fitting generous amounts of text neatly within the product’s packaging.

On-pack Fix-a-Form formats include Kleer-Format, Multi-Kleer, Auto Collar and Collar-It.  Other products developed by the company for use off-pack include the top-selling Informaxx, a credit card sized booklet product and Promaxx, a range of personal and office use products.
