Prisym provides solution for Samuel Heath
When Samuel Heath, manufacturer of high quality bathroom accessories, required a label design and printing system which could print full color images of its products along with variable data, they found Prisym were able to provide them with a complete solution using its Prisym 5 software. The labeling specialist was able to supply and integrate everything from software and printers to consumables and a service support package.
The system allows Samuel Heath to print variable labels for initially 90 different product lines in-house. The labels are supplied pre-printed with the company logo and are then over-printed using the Prisym 5 software and Primera color inkjet roll label printers. Each label incorporates a color graphic of the corresponding product, barcode and product details.
Established since 1820, Samuel Heath has a distinctive corporate identity which compliments their quality products. Nigel Titley, IT manager at Samuel Heath, explained: ‘In line with our corporate branding, we wanted a high quality system that could print labels with full color product images for easy identification. After evaluating a number of different products and suppliers, we chose Prisym due to the capability of its software, knowledge and ability to provide us with a complete solution that met all our criteria. We, therefore, only needed one supplier.
‘The company’s technical team worked closely with us to ensure smooth installation and integration of the system at our manufacturing site. We are extremely impressed with the software and service, so much so that we are considering expanding the system to use on the rest of our product range.’
Prisym is a label design and printing software package for variable data handling, developed to manage and control thermal transfer and inkjet printers as well as laser coding machines from a single platform. It incorporates industry standard barcodes, RFID tag encoding and database connectivity. The company is also able to customize the solution to meet almost any customer specific requirement.
