PrisymID is celebrating its fifteenth anniversary as an approved supplier to leading UK retailer Marks & Spencer. A labeling specialist to the apparel industry, PrisymID has been successfully supplying Marks & Spencer and its global manufacturers with high quality bureau printed garment labels and in-house labeling systems since 1992.

PrisymID is one of only three approved suppliers that offer in-house solutions for the retail giant’s suppliers. The company provides secure in-house label printing systems and consumables to a host of M&S manufacturers, enabling them to print on demand a variety of M&S labels such as tags/swing tickets, self-adhesive and fabric labels. Plus, the Ultra-Cut system can ultrasonically produce soft edge fabric care labels.

As well as in-house systems, Prisym's regional printing bureaus also produce a range of apparel and packaging labels for M&S garment manufacturers throughout Sri Lanka, Morocco, China, Egypt, Israel, India, Thailand and Turkey. These range from finished and box end labels to swing tickets and woven labels. In addition, the company’s regional facilities, such as its Sri Lanka operation, also hold stock on the shelf for the Marks & Spencer’s supplier base.

John Nally, labels and ticketing consultant for M&S, explained: ‘We needed an in-house option for our manufacturers to print barcode tickets and labels locally. PrisymID was able to provide a complete labeling solution, supplying software, hardware and consumables. Our suppliers seem very happy with the software and service provided over the years.

‘As a leading high street brand, we demand high standards and working practices from our suppliers. PrisymID are able to meet our strict global sourcing principles and quality standards. They continue to deliver a reliable and efficient service.’

Warren Ward-Stacey, sales director of PrisymID, added: ‘We are proud of our long standing association with M&S. Originally we were the sole supplier of secure in-house labeling software using thermal transfer to their manufacturers. Our first installation was for a company in Lancashire manufacturing socks for the retail chain. Fifteen years on, we now successfully supply to a host of M&S manufacturers. Our latest project is providing an in-house system for the Moroccan facility of one of the world’s largest apparel manufacturers, Crystal Martin.’
