Private purchase for GRE
GRE Engineering Products AG has announced that it has been sold to businessman Roger Wey, formerly of Datacon GmbH, a major supplier in the field of semi-conductors.
Commenting on the reasons for the sale, Rolf Reichle, former owner and managing director of GRE explained: ‘I reached a point in my life where I wanted to devote less of my time to the day-to-day activities of GRE Engineering Products. However, I still wished to see the continued growth and success of the company. The ideal solution was found with Mr Wey who has purchased 100% of the company and who is now owner and CEO managing all facets of GRE activities worldwide.’ Reichle, and his son Mario who is based in Romania, will continue working with GRE on a consultancy basis.
Roger Wey said: ‘Business at GRE will continue as usual during the transition and I look forward to directing the future of this successful enterprise in the years to come. Exciting plans are already in the pipeline. We are currently in the process of establishing a major presence in the Asian market and early 2007 we will also launch GRE Hungary Kft, which be a dedicated operation aimed at the rapidly growing Eastern European printing industry and all the EU markets.’
