Raflatac president stands down

Pentti Kallio will leave his position as president of Raflatac Group, subsidiary of UPM, at the beginning of September 2004. In addition to his current duties, Pauli Hnninen, UPM's executive vice president, business development, will resume operative responsibility for Raflatac until a new President has been appointed.
The company says that the change will have no effect on Raflatac's strategy and that the company's objective of continuous growth remains. Raflatac is particularly focusing on its operations in the United States and South East Asia to further strengthen its market position.
