Rafsec launches new high volume UHF tag production
UPM Rafsec, an RFID tag manufacturer and member of UPM Group, has announced that its newly developed manufacturing technology for the mass production of state-of-the-art RFID tags is now in use in the company’s facilities. After the successful completion of piloting, UPM Rafsec deploys this proprietary and patent pending process - specifically designed for volume production of EPC compliant UHF tags - at its new North American manufacturing site in Fletcher, North Carolina.
Responding to the increasing demand for EPC RFID tags, especially in North America, UPM Rafsec is continuously investing to increase its ability to offer high-quality UHF tags in large volumes. Crystallizing the know-how and hands on experience gained in eight years of R&D and production of RFID tags and inlays, the company claims to have developed an outstandingly reliable process that has proven to guarantee unparalleled yields with both Class 1 generations (Gen1 and Gen2) of EPC tags.
“By continuously improving the quality of our tags and our delivery capabilities, we are ready to ramp-up with our partners as the RFID market continues to grow," comments Samuli Strmberg, VP Marketing of UPM Rafsec.
