Rhodia Silicones announces price increases

Effective October 1st, 2006, Rhodia Silicones will increase the prices for its core products, including sealants, by 10 to 15 per cent, to partly offset continuous rising costs of energy, raw materials and transportation. All other products will increase by a minimum of five to 10 per cent.

In addition, given the exceptionally high cost of platinum, the price of products containing this metal will increase by at least 15 per cent.

Over the past few years, Rhodia Silicones has been making new investments to respond to its customers’ growth and accelerating action plans to improve productivity, reduce manufacturing and operating costs while keeping service at the highest industry standards. However, all these efforts are not sufficient to overcome the continuous and dramatic increase in costs coming from all our suppliers.

Rhodia Silicones will continue to work closely with its customers to eliminate all unnecessary costs while supporting growth with innovation and technical services.
