Russian enterpreneurs invest in Wsch Etiketten GmbH
In a significant move, a Russian label manufacturer has taken over one of Germany’s leading label converters with the intention of building up a European operation to supply multinational companies. On 7th June 2005, the two owners of the Crystal Service Group, St. Petersburg, took over the majority of shares of Wsch Etiketten GmbH in Gehrden near Hanover from Linerless AB and Linerless Systems AB, Helsingborg, Sweden. New shareholders are Vasily Pavlov who took over 75 per cent of the shares and Dmitry Zverev who took over 15 per cent. The remaining shares will be held by Kurt-Sebastian Wsch, who is working as sales director in the company. Jan Venneman continues to operate as Managing Director, a position he has held since mid 2004 when he joined the company. ‘We want to invest in Wsch Etiketten to build up the sales and production of top-quality labels tags and tickets, this will be our main focus,’ commented Vasily Pavlov on the day of the takeover. Wsch Etiketten employs more than 100 people, and produces self adhesive labels as well as tickets and tags for all kinds of electronic overprinting equipment. The Company also produces high quality labels for the cosmetic-, chemical- and food-industry. In 2004 the company had a turnover close almost Euro 20M. The Crystal Service Group with 600 employees has a turnover of more than US$ 150M. The Group is active in the distribution and servicing of Point of Sales systems coupled with logistics as well as barcode labeling/printing and identification. It also produces high quality packaging- and security-labels as well as tickets. The Crystal Service group consists of three main companies.
