ScanSource Europe launches Configuration Services

ScanSource Europe has recently launched a new service for its reseller partners – Configuration Services.

The latest offering in ScanSource Europe’s range of tools designed to save resellers time and money, Configuration Services provides a cost-effective means of pre configuring equipment.

Configuration, whether it be preloading of software, bundling of equipment, charging batteries or even simple additions of material, takes place at ScanSource Europe’s distribution centre, prior to products being shipped.

‘Configuration Services really benefits our customers’, said Colin Booth, director of professional services at ScanSource Europe. ‘By carrying out time-consuming configuration before the product is shipped, rather than leaving the customer to do it when it arrives, ScanSource frees up the customer’s precious internal technical resources, releasing their manpower from labor-intensive, low-value return. This reduces their administration and logistics workload and related costs, while also saving valuable floor space.’

‘This is great news for the channel,’ added Xavier Cartiaux, ScanSource Europe’s managing director. ‘We take care of the little things, leaving our customers to concentrate on their core business. The overall result is that they increase their profitability.’

Configuration Services is administered by ScanSource Europe’s Professional Services Team, who offer a series of pre- and post-sale services, including radio frequency site surveys, systems integration and maintenance and service contracts.
