SGIA Brings Imaging Symposium to Vancouver
SGIA is bringing a second imaging symposium to Canada. SGIA Imaging Symposium - Vancouver will meet October 27 at the Executive Airport Plaza hotel, in Richmond, British Columbia, near Vancouver Airport. Guests arriving the night before will enjoy a complimentary welcome reception and dinner.
The symposium is a guide to successful digital technology implementation. Building on the successful SGIA Imaging Symposium - Toronto, the October event will focus on the questions to ask to make the right decisions.
"In Toronto, we learned that Canadian printers want – and feel they need – these types of education events. And the networking is as important to them as the education," said event organizer Marci Kinter, SGIA vice president, Government Affairs.
Attendees will be presented with case studies of businesses that have successfully brought on digital technology. The group will also cover how to calculate return on investment for digital equipment and learn the important questions to ask before going digital.
"With the vast array of options available within each digital technology decision, it's essential you know what will fit your shop's needs best. The best thing you can do is to ask the right questions," says Dan Marx, DPI director of communications and service development, who is responsible for the event programming. "We're creating a community for networking and education so printers around British Columbia and the US Pacific Northwest can have an opportunity to start their digital implementation on the right foot without traveling thousands of miles.”
