Skanem Stavanger wins major label contract

Norway’s largest label contract was signed recently at Skanem’s site in Stavanger, Norway. Managing director Kari Nag headed the tender process and the factory will now be delivering labels to Nortura BA – Norway’s largest producer of meat, egg and poultry products.

Nag said: ‘We think Nortura represents a very exciting customer for us and we are very much looking forward to starting production and further develop our relationship in 2008.’

The five-year contract has a total value of over 140 million NOK’s and is reportedly the largest label contract of its kind in Norway.

Nortura is Norway’s largest user of labels and with this new contract in place Skanem Stavanger will be delivering approximately 430 million labels per year divided across approximately 1,000 SKU’s.
