Sokymat appoints Leo Brickland as Regional Director to head Asian Operation

Leo Brickland has been with Sokymat Asia for the last eight years and has acquired extensive experience in the RFID industry. As Regional Director Asia Pacific, Leo Brickland will be responsible for overseeing all of the operations throughout the area and coordinating service delivery to the clients. He will also manage the regional team of Sokymat to ensure the achievement of the companys goals to expand business in the Asia-Pacific region. To achieve this growth he will be responsible for the development of specific plans to ensure revenue growth in all of the Sokymat product segments.
 
Leo Brickland will report directly to Thomas Hitzer, Vice President of Sokymat, and will establish effective communications between the Sokymat product management and the local sales staff.

Leo Brickland was the CEO of Sokymat Asia before being appointed as Regional Director Asia Pacific. Based in Singapore, he was responsible for the business development and technical support in the Asia Pacific region. He established a new distribution network throughout Asia and provided support at customer level.  Furthermore, he set up an R&D team and a project management team.
 
Prior to joining Sokymat Asia in 1996, Leo Brickland founded Laserline Car Security System in Australia and was the Technical Director of his own company. He started his career as Civil Engineer and was later on promoted to be Construction Manager in a construction company in the United Kingdom. Leo Brickland graduated with a higher national diploma in Civil Engineering and afterwards obtained diplomas in Electronics as well as in Quantity Surveying.
