Spear reports successful 2009

US label converter Spear has reported a successful 2009, with the company winning multiple industry awards throughout the year.

At the annual Finat Label Awards, Spear won Best in Show, Best Printing Process (Group Winner) and Best Combination Printing for its Crabbie’s Green Ginger Wine label, pictured. Its Desperados Red label was also awarded first place in the Screen Printing category.

In North America, Spear received won first place at the TLMI awards in the Gravure printing line and screen tone category for its Bud Light label. Additionally, the company won the TLMI Environmental Leadership Award, recognition for its work across a range of areas including solid waste reduction, recycling and waste and energy recovery.

In Europe, further recognition was achieved for Spear’s Amstel Light label at the European Gravure Association Awards and at the PrintWeek Label Printer of the Year Awards in the UK.
