SPGPrints debuts rotary screen module at Labelexpo Europe

The new RSI III unit, which will take center stage on SPGPrints’ stand, is a fast, cost-effective way of applying functional and tactile effects in one pass, at speeds of up to 150m/min. Examples are the ‘no-label’ look based on the printing of screen white at the highest possible levels of opacity, creative varnishes, Braille, metallic foil and opaque, rich colors, for striking brand design.   

The unit offers several safety and ergonomic innovations for increased productivity and time-saving. It also features a new long-life web-cleaning scraper that automatically removes ink splashes from the web after stoppages or operation in slow rotation mode. This enables drying of the substrate while minimizing contamination of the rollers. 

RSI III comes in a wide range of widths from 254mm to 660mm and integrates with in-line with flexo, offset, gravure and letterpress. 

Show visitors will also see long-life nickel re-imageable RotaMesh and reusable RotaPlate rotary screens, the Dev & Dry system for automated developing and drying of RotaPlate screens, plus high-definition imaging systems: the rotaLen laser engraver for rotary screens and the variLex CtP exposure system for rotary screens and plates for flexo, letterpress and dry offset.
