Stora Enso among world’s 100 most sustainable companies
Stora Enso has announced that it was included in the Global 100, a list of the 100 most sustainable companies in the world. Stora Enso was considered among the best in class in the Paper & Forest Products industry in managing environmental, social and governance risks and opportunities. The Global 100 ranking was publicized at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
‘It is rewarding to see that third parties value our sustainability work. We put a lot of effort into these issues and they are becoming even more critical when we are accessing the new growth markets in China, Russia and South America,’ commented Jukka Hrml, CEO.
The Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World was initiated by Corporate Knights Inc., an independent Canadian-based media company, with Innovest Strategic Value Advisors Inc. an international investment research firm in 2005. The 100 top sustainability performers are chosen from the MSCI World Index of some 1 800 publicly-traded companies. The annual Global 100 is announced each year at the World Economic Forum in Davos.
