Stork Prints Brazil appoints MD

Jos Assini Perdomo has been appointed managing director of Stork Prints


Brazil.  Based in So Paulo, Assini takes overall responsibility for the Latin American arm of Stork Prints BV. He will be strengthening the company's support of a growing customer base, which includes label, packaging and wall-cover converters, as well as textile manufacturers, across a region going from Chile to Mexico. He will be reporting to  Stephan Haagh, Stork Prints' managing director Textile  at Boxmeer, Netherlands.

Since 1984, his positions have included: international purchaser at Brazilian computer mainframe maker Conpart Industria Eletronica SA, general manager of So Paulo-based FTB, a subsidiary of TRANSPART, regional sales manager at the Interlinings division of the Freudenberg concern, and commercial director at Paramount Lansul, Brazil's only fibre-wool mill. From June 2002, until his appointment by Stork Prints, Assini has been successfully running his own company, RLG, a consultancy and distributor for suppliers to the textile industry. Assini is 44 and speaks Portuguese, English, Spanish, and Italian.
