ETI Inc. Converting Equipment and Nordson Corporation are using complementary technologies in narrow-web converting to help label manufacturers reduce costs as much as 70 per cent.

ETI, a Canadian company based in Boucherville, Quebec, has developed a technology to produce pressure-sensitive labels using a siliconizing process and Nordson hot melt adhesive coating systems. The new equipment prints, siliconizes and applies adhesive to labels in-line.

Headquartered in Westlake, Ohio, Nordson Corporation is a producer of precision dispensing equipment used to apply adhesives, sealants and coatings to a broad range of consumer and industrial products during manufacturing operations.

Equipment technologies will be demonstrated at Labelexpo Americas 2006, September 11-14, in Chicago, Illinois. Visit ETI at Converting Equipment Hall C, stand 3622; and Nordson Corporation, Hall F, stand 6402.
