Colombian self-adhesive label material manufacturer Arclad has integrated an adhesive from German company Henkel into a line of transparent polypropylene films aimed at ‘no label look’ applications.

Henkel, which as a sales office in Colombia as well as presence in various other South American countries, is supplying Arclad with its transparent Duro-Tak 34-659B adhesive.

‘Packaging is increasingly relevant in product differentiation,’ said Roberto Liebanthal, regional business manager, PSA adhesives, Henkel Argentina. ‘This has brought about a change in the substrates used in bottle labeling, the most striking example of which is the emergence of the “no label look” in industries such as beverage, pharmaceutical, cosmetics and household goods. This has created the need for a high performance adhesive which can meet these new demands.’
