Danafilms renamed to boost growth potential

- RKW-Group acquired Danafilms to years ago
- New name 'symbolizes accomplishments and strong performance' since acquisition
Danafilms, a supplier of premium monolayer and coextruded barrier films, has been renamed as RKW Danafilms in a move to assist its strategic growth initiatives in North America.
The name change more effectively identifies Danafilms as part of the RKW-Group. RKW-Group is a global manufacturer of films and nonwovens.
RKW Danafilms said its new name maintains its reputation in the technical films marketplace.
In a statement, the company said: ‘Besides representing two successful firms coming together, the RKW Danafilms brand symbolizes the accomplishments and strong performance that have come about since RKW-Group acquired Danafilms two years ago.
‘As a result of international teamwork, we have invested in new state-of-the-art extrusion equipment which has created jobs at the Westborough, Massachusetts and Franklin, Kentucky locations.
‘Because of this growth, we have successfully expanded our portfolio of films, brought new and existing products to our European clients with locations in North America, and even attracted new business. Additionally, we have laid the groundwork for manufacturing hygiene films beginning in 2013, which will further extend our effort in serving existing and new customers in North America.’
