ECMA expands its reach

ECMA expands its reach
- Targeted at first generation founders, or second or third generation owners and managers

- Forum part of ECMA’s dynamic business network

The European Carton Makers Association (ECMA) is looking for tomorrow’s generation of industry bosses through a “Young Leaders” initiative.

The association’s business development committee is inviting all young leaders from the folding carton industry to a forum aimed at the under 40s as a platform designed to offer unique networking opportunities for tomorrow’s bosses.

For those who are a first generation founder, or second or third generation owner/manager, and involved in the carton industry, the forum offers the chance to exchange experiences, initiate common projects and participate in exchange programs focused on subjects like succession, leadership, intercultural management and innovation.

The new forum is part of ECMA’s dynamic business network characterized by the many meetings now being held that allow members to develop new initiatives.

Upcoming are teleconferences on the tobacco industry, a supplier forum, a technical committee meeting and one for the association’s development.

New members that are embracing ECMA’s changing structure include Schur Pack, which has four plants in Europe, and Interpack SA from Argentina, which has joined as an Overseas Member.  It is the largest carton converter in the country and has two plants in the Buenos Aires province.
