Emmanuel Odofin joins Herma UK

Emmanuel Odofin took over management of the self-adhesive materials division at Herma UK on April 1.

Herma UK has appointed Emmanuel Odofin as managing director of the self-adhesive materials division in Newbury on April 1, 2025. He replaces Paul Eggbeer, who will retire as planned on June 30, at the British subsidiary of the Herma Group, which specializes in packaging and product labeling.

‘Paul Eggbeer hands his successor an excellently positioned, extremely customer-oriented, highly flexible division that enjoys an excellent reputation among label printers in the UK,’ emphasized Dr Guido Spachtholz, managing director of the Herma Group. ‘In Emmanuel Odofin, we have gained a strategically minded industry specialist with strong leadership skills as the new managing director, who also has a profound affinity for technology that extends far beyond our own industry.’

Prior to joining Herma UK, Odofin spent four years as managing director of the UK subsidiary of MCC Label, one of the world's leading suppliers of high-quality labels. From 2008 to 2020, Odofin worked at ABB for a total of 12 years in various management positions. As vice president at the leading automation and technology company, he was responsible for inventory and strategic programs in the measurement products business cluster in Northern Europe. As director, he also managed the European value chain transformation program with the aim of streamlining and optimizing business processes in three production centers.

He was also general manager for product manufacturing in the United Kingdom. ‘Herma UK has written a remarkable and enduring success story with self-adhesive materials. Customers in this country really appreciate the distinctive quality and service mentality, as I can confirm from my own experience,’ said Odofin. ‘I very much look forward to helping continue and further develop this success story.’
