Futamura, manufacturer of renewable and compostable packaging films, has appointed Pawel Kwasnicki as regional sales manager to look after the region of Poland, the Commonwealth of Independent Estates, the Baltic States and Ukraine.

With over 25 years of experience in flexible packaging and adhesives, Kwasnicki brings with him a wealth of knowledge from within the film manufacturing and packaging industries.

Commenting on his appointment, Futamura’s sales and marketing director, Andy Sweetman said: ‘It is a pleasure to welcome Pawel to the Futamura team. His knowledge and understanding of flexible packaging coupled with his expertise in the adhesive and converting industries make him an undoubted asset to the team. Increasingly, our NatureFlex films are also being used in combination with other substrates, to target ever more technical applications. Pawel will work closely with our customers, current and new.’

Kwasnicki steps into the role following the planned retirement of Andrzej Kornacki, a long-standing member of the Futamura team. Sweetman added: ‘Andrzej will take with him a great deal of industry knowledge and experience. He is recognized as a flexible packaging expert and was a committed supporter of the wider packaging industry. His award in 2022 of the title of Meritorious for the Packaging Industry by the Polish Chamber of Packaging was a true recognition of his contribution to the packaging industry. He will be missed greatly but we wish him all the very best for his well-earned retirement .’

Futamura has recently celebrated the opening of a new production line, increasing manufacturing capacity and further improving customer lead times.
