KCC intros new solvent-free anchorage additives

- To promote adhesion to a variety of substrates including polyolefin and polyester films
- To provide customers with new possibilities in substrate selection and product design
KCC Corporation, a Korean supplier of silicone release coatings and pressure-sensitive adhesives, has launched the new solvent-free SC0050S and SC0055S anchorage additives.
SC0050S and SC0055S can be used in both solventless and solvent-based release coating and adhesive systems to promote adhesion to a variety of substrates including polyolefin and polyester films.
Karl Han, KCC Silicon sales director, said: ‘The development of the new additives demonstrates KCC Corporation’s ability to translate its coating expertise into pressure-sensitive materials, whilst providing its customers with new possibilities with regard to substrate selection and ultimately product design.
Stephen Armstrong, general manager of KCC Silicone’s pressure sensitive materials business unit, added: ‘With the increasing demand for filmic release liners customers expect to employ the same coating system on all papers and films used, whilst in the protective films market durable and robust anchorage of the adhesive to the filmic backing under ever more demanding conditions is required; the new anchorage additives are our solution to these twin challenges.’
