Concluding its Nature of America educational series, the United States Postal Service (USPS) has issued the 12th and final collectable stamp pane, Nature of America: HawaiianRain Forest. Mactac supplied the pressure-sensitive adhesive label materials for the 25 million stamps issued.

The educational series, which began in 1999, highlights the intricacy and balance of major flora and fauna throughout the United States. Nature of America stamp series artist John Dawson was in the field for almost a year researching, photographing and illustrating. Another six months went into creating the final artwork under the guidance of art director Ethel Kessler.

Dawson depicts 24 different species that can be encountered in the HawaiianRain Forest to illustrate its biodiversity.
