Mitsubishi Paper Mills signs settlement agreement with Diatec Holding

Mitsubishi Paper Mills (MPM) has signed a settlement agreement with Diatec Holding, resolving patent dispute issues between the companies.

The disputes derive from legal action initiated by MPM in Germany against Diatec’s subsidiaries, Sihl GmbH, Sihl Direct GmbH and Sihl AG on grounds of infringement of MPM’s inkjet media patents.

The settlement agreement provides for the payment of a fee to MPM. Other terms and conditions of the agreement are subject to confidentiality.

‘MPM considers its inkjet media activity to be a core business and owns a wide range of intellectual property rights in this area,’ said the company in a statement. ‘MPM will continue to exploit and defend these intellectual property rights effectively to strengthen its inkjet media business.’
