Summer Industries acquires Tampa Tube Containers

Summer Industries has announced that it will finalize the purchase of Tampa Tube Containers this week. Tampa Tube, a 37-year-old manufacturer of paper tubes, cores, and containers (such as mailing tubes, composite cans and coin banks) will begin to operate as Summer Industries, Tampa Tube Division, on February 1.

We’re also looking forward to joining our expertise and technology with their relationships and local reputation, to even better serve our customers, and theirs, in Florida and the Southeast.’

The Tampa facility will continue to produce paper tubes, cores, and rigid paperboard containers (composite cans). Summer will add new capabilities, which will allow the Tampa facility to serve a broader array of market segments, including sizes offered, precision dimensional controls and just-in-time delivery. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
