Temkin International purchases Fusion Press from PCMC

Paper Converting Machine Company (PCMC) recently announced the sale of a new Fusion printing press to flexible film packaging company Temkin International of Payson, Utah. This investment will allow Temkin to increase production, while significantly improving print performance and productivity.
Temkin International’s policy is to invest in the latest technology and maintains focus on high quality standards, so the Fusion press made an appealing choice for the company. The Fusion is claimed to provide new standards for environmental friendliness and operator simplicity. These advanced technologies in printing were seen as an excellent match for the innovative flexible film packaging company, whose customers include major floral, food and personal care companies.
‘Our company truly made an informed decision when purchasing PCMC’s Fusion flexographic press over competitor machines. Factors that were important to us were the green features and the fact that the press is designed, assembled and serviced by an American company,’ stated Lynn Abplanalp, senior vice president of Temkin International. ‘The Fusion press offers ease of use with rapid set-ups and quick wash-downs which allow us to offer our customers shorter, more efficient runs, thus creating a better price break on the small jobs.’
The 8-color, 1,500mm (59-inch), gearless, sleeved Fusion features low cost per impression with its PrintReady automatic impression memory system. In addition, the Fusion offers efficient wash-up solvent use and provides considerable productivity savings with full press wash-up of all color decks in just four to eight minutes. Fusion is claimed to use 30 percent less energy than competitive presses and operates with 100 percent renewable energy sources.
