Thai market leader in paper manufacturing decides on cut-size lines from E.C.H. Will and Pemco

Advance Agro, a leading Thai pulp and paper manufacturer, has extended its capacity in cut-size paper converting by purchasing three cut-size lines from E.C.H. Will and Pemco, two companies of the Krber PaperLink Group. The production lines include three 12-pocket cut-size sheeters with ream packaging lines. Following the finalization of the sales contract, signed in May, the delivery of the first cut-size line is scheduled for the end of 2007. The second and third lines will be delivered after a six-month interval. With the purchase of the three production lines Advance Agro plans to increase their production capacity by 390,000 tons per year.
E.C.H. Will will deliver high performance cut-size sheeters with five unwinds designed for a reel diameter of 1800 mm equipped with a semi-automatic splice system. ‘With 30 production lines already placed in the market, more than 20 with at least 12 pockets, we offer Advance Agro a cut-size line concept, guaranteeing our customer high output with constant long-term high quality,’ said Klaus Aarestrup, managing director, E.C.H. Will.
‘Besides the high accuracy cutting technology and production reliability a main criterion for our purchase decision was based on the trusted on-site customer service provided by Krber PaperLink Far East,’ explained Charnvit Jarusombathi, senior executive vice president. ‘Furthermore we have been convinced by numerous positive references concerning E.C.H. Will, especially for cut-size sheeters with 12 or more pockets. With the purchase of the E.C.H. Will / Pemco high performance cut-size lines we feel we are well prepared for the future.’
