Torraspapel publishes second environmental report

Torraspapel, part of the Lecta Group, has published its second environmental report, which tracks the progress made towards accomplishing the commitments the company set out to fulfil in its first report in 2004, as well as setting new challenges for the future.

As the contents of the report show, the most noteworthy advances in environmental matters are related to:

• sustainable forest management and obtaining of chain-of-custody certifications
• minimizing water use and discharge in manufacturing processes
• reducing solid waste sent to waste disposal sites
• optimizing energy consumption
• reducing specific greenhouse gas emissions
