Turpins supports Protag in the UK

Turpins have recently entered into an agreement to jointly introduce Protag, with Leading Edge, the Kent, UK-based printing company, under license from the Australian Reeltek Group. They will supply the fully automatic machine to apply Protags printed by Leading Edge, and provide service and technical back up.

ProTag is a unique concept of linerless roll-fed promotional neck-tags (collars) which can be applied at high speeds on any bottling or production lines, with minimum disruption to normal manufacturing speeds and efficiencies.

The application machine is custom designed to provide controlled bottle handling and accurate application. The stand alone modular design enables straight forward installation with high speed indexing and tag dispensing. Twin reel unwind and automatic reel changeover, and the option of orientation to fix the tag in a front facing position.

The advantage of Protag compared with traditional neck collars is that they can be applied in line. They will enhance products at the point of sale giving companies additional promotional opportunities.
