Two UK licensees for Australia-based Reeltek Systems

Sydney-based Reeltek Systems International has announced the appointment of two UK companies as licensees to market its patented Protag automatic roll-fed neck-tag application system. Leading Edge Labels will sell and produce the Protag consumable, working hand-in-hand with Wider View Packaging Ltd who will install and support the application equipment.

The news coincides with the recent installation of the first two Protag machines purchased directly from Reeltek Systems by a leading UK dairy to promote bottled milk. Sales elsewhere have been to end-users in the spirits, wine, automotive and food & beverage industries – with one example pictured left for P&N Fruit Juices of Australia.

The latest application carried out by one of the leading Australian food manufacturers, Cerebos Foods, is pictured right. This was the third time that Cerebos have used the system for a full-scale on-pack promotion across their ‘Fountain Sauces’ range – which on this occasion conveyed a highly successful rugby theme promotion, involving SMS entry and randomized numbers printed on the reverse of the 2.5 million neck-tags.

One of Reeltek’s other recently appointed international licensees (which currently total eight), Pyrotec in South Africa have also secured their first sale to a leading national brewery.
