UK converter completes order of 27 million labels

UK converter Harkwell Labels has just completed its largest-ever order to date, having supplied a European fuel company with 27 million labels. The labels were printed on the Gallus R160B full color rotary label press and printed with sequential numbers using an offline numbering press. The labels were then packed in 13,500 350gsm dispenser boxes in rolls of 2,000 and shipped directly to two separate addresses in the Netherlands for a promotion. The labels are given away with fuel purchases, collected and redeemed for cut price tickets at theme parks throughout the Netherlands.

Managing director Tim Fountain of Harkwell Labels, based in Poole, Dorset, commented: ‘We were daunted at first with the size of the order, but our motto (a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step) kept us focused on the task, and the really tight lead times. All the staff were brilliant and worked together as a team.’
