US converter Total Packaging Solutions installs Mark Andy P7

Total Packaging Solutions, a Dayton, Ohio-based converter, has invested in a Mark Andy Performance Series P7 press. Providing labels and packaging to the tobacco industry, this recent start-up had been outsourcing both offset and flexographic printing projects. By bringing the flexo process in-house, Total Packaging Solutions ‘looks forward to broadening its product offering and customer base, while having more control over product quality’.    

‘The P7 was the right choice for our new venture,’ said Chuck Rowland, general manager, Total Packaging Solutions. ‘The combination of minimal waste, fast changeovers, and impeccable print quality fit our developing business model perfectly. We look forward to great success with this new investment.’  

The 8-color, 17 inch (430 mm), water-based press with final UV is equipped with a web turnbar, cold foil, two die-cut stations and video inspection system. Primarily purchased to run coated paper and light carton, the P7 is capable of accommodating additional applications as the company expands into new markets.
