Weber earns Gen 2 RFID certification

Weber Marking Systems, a manufacturer and supplier of RFID labeling systems and smart labels, has announced that it recently earned certification to use EPC Gen 2 RFID inlays from both Avery Dennison and Alien Technology.

Weber, which converts its own SmartTrak brand of RFID smart labels, will be incorporating Avery’s Gen 2 ‘Runway’ inlay and other Avery Gen 2 inlays into its smart label conversion process. In addition, Weber will be offering Alien’s Gen 2 ‘Squiggle’ inlay with its smart labels.
