Weber Marking Systems, founded as a small addressing machine company in 1932, is now a worldwide manufacturer of labels, and labeling equipment, celebrating its 75th year in business in 2007.

‘There are numerous reasons why a company prospers over the years,’ said Joseph Weber, Jr., chairman and son of the founder of the company.  ‘I credit the foresight and loyalty of our employees, the competence and innovations of our partner-suppliers and, of course, the business and support that we have received from our customers.’

Weber Marking Systems pioneered the use of many methods of product identification over its 75-year history, including direct marking using handprinters; manual and electronic label printing machines; and computer-based label printers and applicators that produce labels with text, bar codes, graphics and even radio frequency identification encoding.

‘I am proud of Weber Marking Systems,’ Weber added, ‘and I am grateful for the successes we’ve experienced over the years.’

The privately owned company, whose world headquarters is located in Illinois, USA, has manufacturing and sales operations in North America, United Kingdom, Europe, Asia and Australia.
