Weldon launches SMS service

New-Delhi-based Weldon Celloplast has launched a unique service whereby Indian converters can send a text message with the word ‘Label’ in order to receive technical support and ‘anything concerning labels or packaging’.

The service will cater to end users, label printers, designers, advertisement agencies, consultants, and more.

Explaining the initiative, director Pawandeep Sahni said: ‘We are making it extremely easy and simple for our customers to reach our sales team. Anyone in India has to just type Label and send to 56677 and that is all. We shall take it up from there.’ The scheme is operational from January 1 2009.

Rahul Bhargav, associate director, packaging development, Ranbaxy Research Laboratories, commented: ‘’It is a creative campaign wherein there is effective tracking and on spot customer satisfaction.’
