Alwan donates software to Rochester Institute of Technology

Alwan Color Expertise has donated a number of its latest products to the Rochester Institute of Technology. Alwan is involved in various education and training programs, in addition to its core business of software and solutions development. The company has initiated a program to support universities running courses on color management and standardization for the graphic industries.

Schools and universities that have benefited from Alwan's donations, lectures and knowledge sharing include: les Gobelins, in Paris; EFPG-Pagora, in Grenoble, France; Scuola Grafica Salesiana di Milano in Italy; and the University of Wupperthal, in Germany.

In April 2009, Elie Khoury held a discussion with the Advanced Color Management Class at RIT School of Print Media. He talked about printing standardization and software solutions in implementing standard PDF and conformance to ISO 12647.

Alwan donated the PDF Standardizer and Print Standardizer to the School of Print Media for research and teaching PDF-based color management and printing workflows.
